Frequently Asked Questions

What is Food That Rocks?

Food that Rocks is the ultimate Sandy Springs food and beverage tasting event that celebrates our vibrant and expanding dining scene. Attendees of the festival have unlimited VIP access with capacity and space set for social distancing. More than 30 of Sandy Springs’ favorite restaurants will serve up the best culinary bites, wine, beer & cocktail tastings, along with live music from some of the area’s most loved party bands.

Food that Rocks was created to bring together community and entertainment for a great cause and this year, a portion of ticket sales will provide selected Sandy Springs’ frontline healthcare and public safety workers with free tickets so they can join in the fun!

Who Does the Event Benefit?

Food That Rocks has always been a “Party with a Purpose.” This year, we’re dedicating a portion of ticket sales to provide selected healthcare and public safety workers with complimentary admission to show our gratitude for their heroic efforts throughout the pandemic.

We’re also excited to continue to support our two nonprofit partners:

  1. Community Assistance Center (CAC) brings together the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody communities to provide compassionate assistance to neighbors in need with financial support, helping to meet basic needs and promoting self-reliance
  2. Second Helpings Atlanta, dedicated to bettering the lives of so many of our Atlanta area community members.

Attendees are encouraged to bring canned meats and non-perishable foods to the event, which will be donated to the CAC’s food pantry.

What Are the Festival Dates and Hours?

What COVID-19 Protocols are in Place?

The health & wellbeing of our patrons, partners, and staff is our top priority. We will follow CDC & the City of Sandy Springs’ guidelines and mandates to help ensure the safest experience possible.

Food That Rocks takes place outdoors under large, open-air tents. This year, we are limiting the number of tickets sold at each of our 4 sessions to allow for more space to social distance. Staff, vendors, and volunteers are required to wear masks. We will also perform daily COVID screening health checks for staff and team members before the start of each shift.

We encourage and highly recommend all patrons who attend the festival to bring a face mask and wear it when you move. We ask ticket holders who feel unwell or have recently been in close contact with a person with COVID-19 to please stay home.

Additionally, we will provide:

  • HAND SANITIZING: Hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the event, for both staff and guests. Handwashing is available inside City Hall and the bathroom building on Mt. Vernon Rd.
  • HIGH TOUCH SURFACES: Sanitizing and disinfecting of surfaces, contact points, and guest areas will be ongoing throughout the festival by our cleaning crew.
